UPPER FOX PADDLES MAY 16-17: Berlin to Omro; Omro to County Landing

This trip will convince you that the Fox is a beautiful river, in stretches. Much more rural than what you’re used to seeing in the Fox Cities, the river embraces cow pastures, hay fields and swamps. For those of you who were with us the last time we rounded Terrell’s Island, we promise to use a compass this time.

Preregister with the button above to let us know you’re coming. 
Complete your ACA waiver form in advance to same time at the launch.

MEET: After 8AM
LAUNCH: Riverside Park in Berlin, 9:30AM
LUNCH: Bring your own. Snack on the water. 
LAND: Miller Park, Omro
CHALLENGES: Distance. 

MEET: After 8 AM
LAUNCH: 9:30AM Miller Park, Omro
LUNCH: After paddle
LAND: Butte des Morts boat landing,  Leonard Point Road.
CHALLENGES: Distance. Open water on Lake Butte des Morts, head winds coming in to landing.

$10 per participant; under 16 free with an adult. Make registration go faster.  This is a good time to become a member of NEWP for $10 per year plus $25 for ACA (American Canoe Association) membership. 


  1. All participants must wear a personal flotation device (PFD or lifejacket) at all times while on the water.
  2. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the paddle or during lunch stops.

Members of NEWP can arrange to borrow a boat by contacting a member of the Board. Several boat rental businesses operate in the region.
