2018 Paddler Workshop and Gear Swap

TBA

April's blizzard ruined plans for our spring gear swap, but keep adding to your wish list and setting aside your used gear. Plans are in progress for a new event later this year.

Have extra gear or too many boats? Need a new (to you) boat, paddling gear or equipment? Bring your spare gear, extra boats and wish list! Standard gear swap format - we'll provide a space and table for the gear you wish to sell - you set the price and make the deal!

This year we are also featuring participation of many of our northeast Wisconsin paddle sports stores and outfitters, offering gear for sale, program information and expertise in our mini-presentations:

LONG Boats - Boats longer than 16 feet will not fit in the gear swap room and will have to be sold outside.

Is lunch available? TBA

Format Open and casual - Participants are welcome to bring their boats to the facility for maintenance or sale, and gear to sell or swap.

Expectations? 2018 will be our seventh paddle gear swap year and we are still learning as we go! We expect to have a good workshop, provide an opportunity for people to exchange used gear or purchase new gear, learn some skills, meet old friends and make some new ones just in time for the start of the paddle season! This is an indoor event, so we are relatively weather-proof. About 135 people participated in 2017 with nearly two dozen boats available for swap or purchase. The facilities are great, so come check it out and we'll all have a good time!
