Lutz Park to Sunset Park - Sept. 29 ↵
The Fox River lock and dam system is a marvel of 19th century technology. We will pass through four of the hand-operated locks, part of a system that has allowed navigation on the Lower Fox despite a drop in elevation from Lake Winnebago to Green Bay about equal to Niagara Falls. This paddle offers plenty of conversation and snacking time while the water level is lowered in the locks. Enjoy the fall colors and then have fun at Appleton's Octoberfest afterwards.
