Manitowoc Harbor Out-and-Back to Manitou Park- August 4

We launch from the YMCA parking lot into the Manitowoc Harbor, and head up the Manitowoc River to Manitou Park, where we land for a stretch, water refill and restroom break before returning downriver. Matt Kadow, a local educator and historian will join us to provide insight on the riverfront's history and plans for its future.

We'll pass the USS Cobia, the historic shipbuilding sites, Burger Boat Company's boatyard, a Broadwind Energy manufacturing plant, an abandoned cement manufacturing plant, the historic Manitowoc Chiefs football field and several other notable sites along the way.
